Title

Interior of High Street Kensington Station, London

Description

This is a photograph that provides a view of the inside of the High Street Kensington Station at the time of its last phases of construction. A locomotive is shown to be situated on this terminal's railway track. This is one of the stations that had been built for the Metropolitan District Railway's (MDR) Underground Lines through Kensington, from Paddington and Blackfriars. This station continues to exist as a component of the London Underground's Circle and District lines, which demonstrates the lasting presence of the technologies of railways and terminals.
