Victorian's Men's Clothing Advertisemant
Description
This ad for men’s clothing relates to the passage from "The Grey Woman" in several ways. The first is that that the advertisement shows the type of clothing that men at that time wore. The most interesting part of ad is the images of the men. How they appear to be dark and mysterious. This helps to show the transformation that Anmante would have to undergo in the passage to pass as a man. How she had to alter the shape of her face with the corks in order to appear more rough than the natural shape of her face. Also, her having to change her voice in order to become more intimidating than her natural. The overall look that she had to become is the ideal look of a man at the time. Which from the advertisement we can see his dark, powerful, and intimidating.
