Double Fantasy Album
Dublin Core
Title
Double Fantasy Album
Subject
A collection of John Lennon's solo work
Description
"Double Fantasy" was seen as John Lennon's triumphant return to the world of music after his hiatus. At least, it was after his death. That is, the album originally received poor reviews, but after Lennon's death later that year, it experienced a newfound surge in popularity. "Double Fantasy" was released in 1980 and was a collaborative effort between Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono Lennon, who is featured heavily on the album, both as a writer and as a performer. The album features well-known pieces such as "(Just Like) Starting Over" and "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)." This album is particularly significant because it was the final full-length album Lennon released before his untimely murder.
