Title

Domestic Violence in the United States

Subject

An infographic providing information regarding intimate partner violence (IPV)

Description

This infographic provides information that would be suitable for data plotting, and puts John Lennon’s story into a larger context of domestic violence across the world. When put side by side with these statistics, we can see just how horrible John Lennon’s actions against Cynthia were. John Lennon should not get a “get out of jail free card” because he was famous and because he is dead. Within the context of #MeToo, the artwork of physically and sexually violent men is undergoing reevaluation, and I am making the argument that Lennon should not be exempted from this ongoing dialogue.
