To Yankee fans, Yankee Stadium is considered a landmark because of the impact it has on the city of New York. The end of the old Yankee Stadium was a complete shock and somber moment for many people in the New York City area. Despite it never being designated as a landmark by the NYC Landmarks Preservation Committee, it has countless historical significance. This article really highlights these historical events that should've solidified Yankee Stadium as an official landmark.
