Description

The message at the beginning of the book must have been included for a purpose. This message was given to the reader in order to impact their perspective of the book before they started reading. It was giving them something to think about before delving into the book. Hand written messages from loved ones on the inside of book have the same function as a quote at the beginning. Do they change the readers perspective of the book? And if so, why? Do these hand written messages diverge from the original meaning of the book? And could the quotes from the author possibly diverge from what seems to be the meaning of the story?
