Title

Domestic Violence in the U.S. Fact Sheet

Subject

A compilation of intimate partner violence statistics in the United States.

Description

Intimate partner violence (IPV) refers to a wide variety of abuses that are perpetuated in a romantic or otherwise intimate relationship. These abuses can be physical, financial, emotional, psychological, sexual, and even academic. The subject of IPV has long been a taboo one, and it remains so in several ways. However, with the recent push of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, we are beginning to address these issues and put them into the context of those who have survived such heinous experiences.
