Regardless, the story in question describes the tale of a man who from the onset of the story is entirely invisible. At first he uses clothing to mask his invisibility, and he uses his power to dabble in criminal activity to provide for himself. For example, he would use his stealth to sneak into someone's home and rob them of their valuables. Eventually suspicion in the town seemed to point towards him as the culprit of the crime, and from that moment his criminal activity became more severe (such as murder).
