Francis Hughes

Francis Hughes was a volunteer in the Provisional Army from Bellaghy, County Derry in Northern Ireland. Francis is noted as the most wanted man in Northern Ireland l his arrest following a shoot-out with the SAS (Special Air Service). he was sentenced to a total of 83 years' imprisonment; he died during the 1981 Irish hunger strike in HM Prison Maze with Bobby Sands.
