The History of The Syrian Civil War

An updated map of Syria showing which parties of the conflict are controlling which part of Syria. The Map shows how many parts of Syria are controlled by the government's forces/Assad's forces and how many are controlled by other militias and non-governmental combatant groups.

The map of Daraa, Syria where the revolution in Syria first began. The children of Daraa protested through putting Grafitti on the wall that demanded the leaving of president Al-Assad and demanded a reformation of the government. The children were then taken and tortured by the Syrian government.

The Grafitti on the wall in Daraa, Syria contains statements such as "It is your turn now Bashar." and similar statements of protesting the corruption of the government and government officials. This graffiti is one of the reasons why the children were arrested and tortured.

As you can see, the amount of death caused by the Syrian government forces is large and has been increasing due to the brutality of the methods the government uses.
