To understand racism, one must look beyond individual biases and acknowledge the perpetuation of these sets of ideas within American culture. From a cultural psychology perspective, we will explore the structural foundation of racism and look at how it continues to infringe on the sexual health and reproductive rights of Black women. We will delve into historical ties of racism and look at modern-day drivers of reproductive oppression. From here, we will address specific changes that must be made to improve health outcomes for Black women in the future. Let's get started!
