The posterior superior temporal sulcus (PSTS), the area of the brain associated with empathy and social processing, was activated in joint play. It was also activated in solo doll play, unlike solo tablet play. 

Increased screen-time is associated with inattention problems in children. Screen-time lasting more than two hours was associated with ADHD type symptoms.
