All The Year Round, Christmas 1866

This is the cover page that we viewed when our class went to the NYPL for class. This is in prime condition and it is an accurate representation of what people in Christmas 1866 would carry around after buying one. This edition holds Dickens work "The Signalman". I think it's interesting and different than any literature we have in our society today because it has the table of contents on the front. There isn't much detail on the front and the biggest text is "Mugby Junction" -- Not Dicken's name or the main story within the work, which raises why that was the most important piece and why it would catch a potential readers eye.
