Title

A "WOMAN" OF EIGHTY PROVES TO BE A MAN

Description

In this article, it describes the gender discovery of Mary Mudge. She was originally born a male and it was only when she died that it was discovered who she really was. From the description of who she was during her life, it sounded as if she tried her best to not interact with a lot of people and just lay low. This is interesting because cross dressing was not very uncommon during this time, however she could of been scared or uncertain as to what people will think of her if it was known. This could also reflect the mentality the LGBTQ community has to go through at any point in time.
