Subject
Ono uses the death of her husband as a way to campaign against gun violence
Description
Yoko Ono tweeted out this image on the anniversary of Lennon's assassination in 2015. She is using Lennon and his untimely death due to gun violence, as a way to inspire others to end gun violence. Lennon and Ono were very big peace activists, so it makes sense why Ono would use Lennon and what happened to him, and turn it into something that can possibly make a change for the better. This campaign of Lennon's blood-smeared glasses and the shocking statistic may resonate with people on a deeper level, because Lennon was such an inspiration and role model to many.
