Central Park: Shenanigans in the row boats

Title

Central Park: Shenanigans in the row boats

Subject

The Lake

Description

A small collection of videos from my personal archives from a few years back while celebrating my friend and I’s birthday, April 17 and April 20th respectively. While the videos at first seem doofy and not all that professional in the scope of the grand scheme of the project, I wanted to use these videos to demonstrate how Olmsted and Vaux’s philosophy of a non-interactive park has changed within the social memory. Clearly, my friend’s and I are interacting with the park and creating a collective memory. The collective memory we are creating serves to demonstrate how Olmsted and Vaux’s philosophy has changed in the 21st century, and how Central Park isn’t always a place for deep seeded meditation or spiritual grounding, but for fun social bonding experiences with your friends.
