Here are a set of photos in Central Park of my cousin, Cziana Stanton, and a family friend, Ethan De La Cruz, on a visit from Hawaii and Arizona respectively. Like the set of photos on The Lake in the row boats in front of Bethesda fountain, I want the photos to show how indivudal personality affects what people take away from the park—the personality of the park. To my friend Ethan, much of what would be deemed as meditative practices is heightened through natural landscape such as hiking, tree climbing, and parkour. In a way, the park brought out the best in his personality and allowed him to exercise that personality. That wild personality is taken into the world with his ambitious and risk-taking personality. Cziana is just having fun.
