Why PR Matters: The Opportunity for Growth
Hello, and welcome to my Omeka exhibit! On this page, I will use my podcast, "Public Relations of Today and Tomorrow," to add context and explanation to my exhibit. Please refer to this page to find the podcast and follow along.
This exhibit and podcast will make a prediction based on cultural psychology. It will explain how public relations (PR) will become significantly more important, if not a necessity, in the next five to ten years. This is a direct effect of the rise of social media and, specifically, the emergence of influencer culture.
Artifact 1: Jena’s work shows why PR is vital in a world of social media and mass communication. Social media poses a problem for businesses since messages swarm consumers all day, every day.
Artifact 2: The statistics show an already accelerating growth of the PR industry, highlighting how it is becoming necessary for businesses to survive.
This growth can be explained through an analysis of specific variables and psychological phenomena. Please click the next page "Relevant Variables" to follow along with the next segment!
