Why We Should Save Our Libraries

The  New York Times article “To Restore Civil Society Start with the Library” by Eric Klinenberg.   It talks about how the funding for libraries is going down, but if you look at places such as New York the use of libraries is not.  It is still a social hub for people to be apart of things such as book clubs and movie nights, just as the original creators of the NYPL intended it to be a social hub.  The main problem is there are not enough resources given to libraries in order to allow the people running them to keep them afloat and the attention they deserve is not being received.
