What Went Wrong?
Inside of the convention, everything was disorganized and crowded. There were multiple claims that there were 20,000 people outside, but it was all fake reports by both Mongeau and other media outlets. Many fans waited hours outside in the scorching heat and received terrible third-degree sunburns. People were starting riots, fighting for food and water, while some were even passing out because of the heat and dehydration. People traveled from all over the world and spent thousands of money just to see Mongeau and her guests, who were also popular YouTubers, while most even came from the VidCon convention. Gift bags were given to fans, but they were in cheap drawstring bags, filled with stickers, bracelets, and condoms.
Some fans were able to get into the actual venue and experience some of TanaCon, because activities actually did occur. There was a wedding officiated, live performances, and a few panels, but even with all of that, there was no food or refreshments as promised.
The first video, which is a vlog, shows footage of the convention outside and inside. The other video is from NBCLA on channel 4 and they talk about the cancellation of TanaCon and interview angered fans.
