Bill Clinton Meets More of the Public
It is important to note that ultimately, it was the people of Northern Ireland and the leaders who were willing to work things out that brought The Troubles to an end with the Good Friday Agreement. Bill Clinton’s visit was a symbol of hope, but there was work to be done and it was still three years until the agreement was actually signed. But here, we see him once again meeting the public and wee the impact that kind of hope can have on people. They may not have known when peace would come, but here was a sense that it was, indeed, coming.
