Notre Dame de Paris spire collapses in fire

Small synopsis of that day!

Notre Dame Cathedral is the St Patrick's Cathedral of France. It is very well recognized throughout the whole country and the world. It's construction started around the 12th century, hence it is a very antique building that over the years hundreds of millions of dollars have gone into renovating and conserving this piece of history in France. It’s a major touristic attraction that mirrors the impact St Patrick Cathedral has in the city; the difference is that the city it impacts is Paris. So it definitely has that special place in social media, where people relate to this place by the different kinds of pictures and memories they create.

Sadly this month the Notre Dame caught on fire, which brought sorrow throughout the world. No evidence has been found that this fire was caused by anyone or terrorist attack. This gathered the world together through many special places especially churches and brought people closer. Times like this bring all types of religions and nonreligious people together mourning. As sad and horrible this tragedy was, it came in a perfect timing to demonstrate a public memory in action. This outrageous event will be in people's head for the years to come as one of the gloomiest days in history. Historical places create special memories when tragedies happen because the crowd laments together and feel the same pain across. It creates a mutual feeling and memory of how these events took place.
