Political and Economical Changes in Colombia Leading to an Increase in Individualism

These artifacts support the idea that political and economical changes in the last 10 years have influenced the increase in individualism in Colombia. 

Artifact #1: This map shows the presence of terrorist groups such as the FARC, ELN, and BACRIM in the regions of Colombia. There are a few cities that have the privilege of not being affected by these guerrilla groups. I chose this map because it gives a visual idea of the presence of these organizations and how they relate to the political problem in Colombia showing the difficulty of tackling down such powerful groups. 

Artifact #2: This artifact is a chart illustrating the number of people displaced in Colombia in 2015 due to terrorist groups. I picked this artifact because it shows the political issue of the Colombian government not being able to turn down these guerrilla organizations that affect the welfare of Colombian society. 

Artifact #3: This artifact is a table showing the transformation from 2009 to 2019 in economic aspects such as the GDP, population below the poverty, and school enrollment. This artifact is important because this table shows the economical change in Colombia and its progress over the last 10 years. 

Artifact #4: This artifact shows a continuation of the economic aspects in which Colombia has been improving over the last 10 years. It shows how Colombia has progressed in the aspects such as inflation, unemployment, and government debt. This is an important table to take into account because it shows the macroeconomic development in Colombia by reducing the economic issues that a country usually struggles with.

Artifact #5: This artifact is the last table showing the economic improvement in terms of the investment and service sector of Colombia. It is important because it supports the progress in the Colombian economy by showing the total exports and the investment in fixed capital over the last 10 years.
