Bloody Sunday Poetry

Welcome to my exhibit on the great poetry that was a result of the tragic events that occurred during the Easter 1916 Rising. Throughout this exhibit, you will be presented with different poems that reflect the heroic, gruesome, and somewhat depressing resolutions that came after the failed, yet epic, battle. We will be looking at both famous poets like W.B. Yeats, as well as minor poets that artistically depicted how they felt about the historic events that occurred. Specifically, the writing style of poetry because takes something as dark as Easter, 1916, and turns it into something beautiful through the power of language. I hope you enjoy my exhibit.
